Marble Jar Celebration

The week of Thanksgiving we finally filled our first marble jar.  When we first started our marble jar we discussed as a class what reward we would like to have when we filled the jar.  After a lot of discussion and a vote it was decided that we would have a pizza party.  Some of the children shared with me that they did not care for pizza so, I decided that the pizza party would include a cookie cake!  I would like to thank Laurie for providing the pizza and cookie.

Virtual Field Trip

Last week as a whole first grade we decided to check out the scholastics 'First Thanksgiving' virtual field trip.  This was a live feed from Plimoth Plantation.  It had some very good information about the Wampanoag people and how Pilgrims lived long ago.

Harvest Party

On Friday we had a our harvest party.  I am very thankful to all the parents who were able to come in and help that afternoon.  We ate lots of yummy treats and played heads up 7-up!  Thank you once again for your help and for all the wonderful food that came in!!
